Now A Yahoo ID Is Required To Login To MyBloglog

September 28, 2007 – 6:48 am

For those who have not logged in to MyBlogLog account since long time(about 2 days), when you login next time you would be asked to enter your yahoo ID instead of MyBlogLog account because of some of their problems and suspected partnership with yahoo.Com . This is applicable to all members of mybloglog. I was surprised to see this when i logged in today.

How To Migrate Now
You visit their site - but before that you would be logged in to your yahoo ID else you would be asked to do, then after that you need to enter old mybloglog email & password and you successfully merge it with your Yahoo account and your yahoo profiles mybloglog profile may be associated with other yahoo properties and sites.

Reason - They claim that using yahoo ID which has the uber-secure ID system as login which the user’s logins are completely bug free and efficient as bugs regarding logins were reported by many people at MyBlogLog.”We found that by using the uber-secure ID system that Yahoo!
uses, we could offer you more efficient logins, deeper security and
faster customer service
” as quoted. Also MyBlogLog may be integrated with other yahoo services. But we can never rule out a possibility of take over of this brand by yahoo (yahoo owned del.icio.us, flickr in this way) in future or it’s just a partnership.

What do you say about this? Pls. comment?
