Most Usefull WordPress Plugins To Optimize Your Feeds In Many Ways

This a cool list of useful wordpress plugins which help you optimize your blog’s feeds, utilize them in a proper way, provide more exposure to your blog and also get more feed readers. Hope this will be useful to all bloggers but please comment about this. Note: There are the best plugins for the corresponding purpose. Many of them are used by me and many other bloggers too.

These links won’t appear in posts but would appear in feeds when they are read. But they would appear on feeds for all posts till you want but not for a specific post.

PostPost – This plugin helps to add any content (including html and javascript) after or before your blog’s feeds which can be seen by all of your feed readers or subscribers. Either you can put advertisements regarding other website of yours or sponsored links (feed advertising) or adsense (not sure) or any message to your feed readers before or after the feed contents.

Fedafi RSS WordPress Plugin – Using this you can place feed sponsorship links, and other links or ads in link. best part is that you can track clicks, landing pages, stats, so it’s professional feedvertising and even we can have ppc in feeds.

WordPress Plugin To Show Related Posts For A Post In Feeds

Related Posts in Feeds – This shows to your feed readers/subscribers titles and links to related posts in your blog for each posts. So the subscribers would know about old posts and get more information your old posts would get traffic too and there’s more exposure if they see 6-10 of your related posts in one post. Actually this plugin is bundled with Semiologic Extract Terms Plugin and will be installed on installing that. If you use only related posts plugin it would show related posts in posts but not in feeds so this is bit different. (i use this personally but you may choose)

Add Related Posts to Your Feed – This shows related post for a post in feeds as the above one does.This needs Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin or w-a-s-a-b-i related posts plugin to be installed to show related posts in feeds.

WordPress Plugins That Help To Get More Subscribers For Your Feeds

What Would Seth Godin Do – Each time a new visitor visits any of your posts/pages it shows them a pre-defined text asking them to subscribe to your blog’s rss feeds. You can customize the pre-defined text (links too) and add styling to it.

FeedBurner Feedsmith – Redirects all your wordpress default feed readers (requests too) & visitors to your feedburner feeds. This is nice because you can track all your readers as each of them would be redirected to feedburner feeds of your blogs even tough he clicks on your default wordpress RSS Feed link. Same is the condition for auto discovery, it helps auto discover of feedburner feeds instead of wordpress default feed. If you won’t use this plugin, you have to replace each feed link in your blog with feedburner one manually.

CaveMonkey Full Text Feed- This plugin is much important if you run full feeds in your blog. When you run full feeds but use the < ! – - more – - > tag with in the post to restrict the part of the post after it to be visible only in the permalink / single post page, then the feed is no more full as displays the post content before it and cuts-off the rest of the content in feed view. By installing this plugin the posts would remain full feed even if you use more tag with in feeds.

WordPress Plugin : Hidden Post Content Visible To Feed Readers Only (for running contests for feed readers)

Hide Some Text In Feeds Visible To Feed Readers Only But Is Actually A Part Of The Post And Is Hidden While Writing The Post.

There is no such plugin till now but if you have subscribed to Sitefever RSS Feeds he had a special contest for feed readers where i saw a hidden RSS Feed content in the feeds (not visible in the actual post) so that only feed readers can participate. There is some way to edit core wordpress files but we need to develop a plugin for this which would help all run such a contest for feed readers. he mentions something in this post where he announced results.(also you may note first 2 comments in the same post)
