Our blogs do have a lot of links either in posts or in sidebar/blogroll (sitewide links or homepage only links) as we the bloggers have a general tendency to link to many other sites with useful & related information. But are you getting paid for any of the links you have in your blogroll or posts. The answer from many is no.
Here I’ll show how to earn money from some of links you place in your blog’s sidebar, blogroll, posts etc. You can make a good amount of money by selling links (text links) in your blogposts or blog. the amount you would be paid for placing a link in your blog is decided by Alexa ranking and Google Pagerank of your blog. So blogs with better PR would earn more and at least PR3 is recommended .
Let me tell you how to start earning selling links in blogs :-
1.TextLinkAds Link Advertisement Program - TLA is a site/online marketplace where advertisers are looking for text links and different website owners add their websites to get paid for placing the advertiser’s links in their websites according to price stated by webmaster. Advertisers have option to look for links and would be shown all the blogs & sites to choose. TLA takes 50% commission of what you earn selling links & pays via check/paypal. To start with signup for TextLinkAds and add your blog to get it approved then place their code in your blog. You would get decent offers from advertisers then after.
2. LinkWorth Text Link Advertising - Signup for a partner account at LinkWorth, add your blog & after being approved there are several link advertisement formats available like link ads in posts which are sponsored posts, general text link ads, rotating link ads,PPC ads and many more. You have to choose which advertisements you would offer in your blog including links in posts ads/sponsored posts. You would be given the options & choose whet you offer. All ads that appear in your blogs are based on links - links in content, links with descriptions, rotating links, ppc based link ads, normal text link ads and many more. They do have a plugin and many other methods of integrating ads to your blogs. So Signup for a partner account at LinkWorth to start with.
3. Contextual Links @ v7n - (link in a single post)You can join and add your blogs and you would be paid for adding advertiser’s link to a new blog post using specified anchor text. After you join when they have some offers, you would be contacted by PM & email at v7n forum. They pay $10-$20 per link which would appear one any new blog post. So you don’t have to write sponsored posts & just add a link to a newest post to get paid $10+ via paypal. All details are available in their forum where they have a dedicated board for this.
4. Webmaster Forums & Other TextLinkAds Marketplaces - I’ve seen people selling links directly in webmaster/SEO/Link building forums like DigitalPoint in the Link Sales or Trade section. There you need to create a thread regarding your blog & ask others to buy links & provide information like price etc. You can search a lot of webmaster forums, SEO forums, link building forums in Google & join them, sell links. generally you would get less money per link using these forums. TextLinksForum is a dedicated forum for this n purpose, v7n Forum has a good marketplace too. A lot of link trading forums are present so better search in google.
5. Cut The Middlemen & Sell Link Ads Directly On Your Blog - Here no one would take a commission of what advertiser pays you for his/her link display in your blog. Setup a special advertise here page in your blog with description of your blog -traffic,ranks etc and price per ads. Do mention payment information and all types of ad formats available there. many bloggers prefer this method and have become good salesman for selling their own links.
6 .Other Text Link Trading Sites - Other text link ads marketplaces like TNX.Net also earn you few bucks selling links but is not so used for making money as it’s a popular text link exchange site. There are many of sites acting as text link sales brokers like TextLinkBrokers.Com and LinkAdage.Com is an auction house for link trading in auction basis.
Note:- Google’s new policy wants you to mark all paid links under nofollow tag else they reduce your site’s PR if they find you selling text links to improve PR of other sites i.e. of link buyers they would penalize you. In last PR update they did penalize many blogs including that of John Chow who were selling links. Especially it targeted publishers of TextLinkAds.Com & PayPerPost.com. So keep this in mind too. You may find i never sell links in this blog at least never use option 1 and 5 as they ahve maximum chance of getting penalized by google.
Another point to be noted is some advertisers pay more for links if your blog’s pagerank is higher so having a good PR is the key. But many people ignore PR while buying links.
