5 Tips On How To Optimize Your Blog Posts For Better Readability

The post content should be long elaborate,interesting and providing adequate and accurate information. Important things in the post should be highlighted in either bold should be colored if required. Headings should be distinguished from paragraphs by using html heading tags and a post should consist of more and more short paragraphs and you should include a colored heading (highly enlarged font) if required. But keeping some text under bold and some under plain text and repeating this many time with in the same post would make the post look unclean and users may leave reading from the very first look.

Make the post appealing to the users. Also make some of your posts interactive so that users talk to you. Maintain cleanliness of the post by avoiding too many images etc in it. Use more tag of wordpress to keep a part of the total post visible at the main posts and users would have to click on the the read more link or permalink and read the complete story at your permalink page instead of blog’s index. This makes index page look good.

Include links using some of your content as anchor e.g. suppose you link to http://bloggingtruths.com don’t just write http://bloggingtruths.com directly. Also don’t write click here to visit bloggingtruths.com. But just write your content and suppose some where you find words related to the link then put those text under the link. In this example here if u use blogging tips just link there as i’ve done. Writing point wise with an heading for each point is regarded best in blogosphere instead of writing a story.

Make the post title not too long but long enough to be liked by your readers and nicely known by search engines because titles have a lot of impact on search engines. Don’t  write title in all caps letter but init cap format (each word is written in small with start letter in caps). Also write the title of the posts adjustable to your template - i mean don’t make your title so long that it would take 4-5 lines in your blog.

Post content should be of minimum 200 words and 500 words is most recommended and well researched professional posts should be near 1000 words. Maximum 3 links or 4 is recommended with in a post but there is no restriction if you are posting a listing.
